Cumulus is a family of clouds, the image must be put in its proper subcategory. There is clearly visible rain shafts between layers and a bulging top. You cannot say there was no thunderstorm as you are not near or under it. As a compromise, I could class it as a cumulus congestus!

Dude, there is a thing called radar, and it was empty. You are imagining the rain shaft. My respect for you had been pretty high in the cloud classification game, but its plummeted now. Famartin (talk) 04:00, 7 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
There is such a thing as withheld information from you part, Dude! Classify yourself if you know what you are talking about, but do not leave it in the generic cumulus category. Pierre cb (talk) 04:05, 7 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
Well I wasn't sure the TYPE of cumulus so i left it generic since you're such a Nazi about it, I knew you'd go in and meddle. But given you failed, I'll have to figure one out myself. Famartin (talk) 04:08, 7 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
Please stop the insult. Pierre cb (talk) 04:10, 7 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
Please stop the arrogance. Also, withheld information? How so? Anyone with good meteorological knowledge can look up a radar and see it was pretty empty, and if I thought it was cumulonimbus, I would've put it there. It was a cumulus subtype for sure, but I wasn't sure what one. You are pretty nuts with the cloud cats so I figured just let you put it where you thought because if you disagreed you'd probably just change it anyway. I've uploaded enough cloud pictures to have noticed this behavior from you. Famartin (talk) 04:13, 7 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
If you have radar information you must put it in the description, that's what I mean. You think that I will make a radar search on every photos? It is your neighborhood, not mine. I have to deal with classification of photos around the world, so I might be excused to miss a few info. I've put it in Category:Cumulus clouds to be classified for the time being. Pierre cb (talk) 04:22, 7 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
You might be excused from not checking radar, but when I reply saying that no storms were around and you accuse me of being wrong without evidence, that crosses a line. I shall ignore your comments on this matter from now on, but rest assured that your future edits will be much more closely scrutinized. Famartin (talk) 04:57, 7 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
Good, you might classify properly your own photos then. Pierre cb (talk) 05:00, 7 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
If you can find any storms here at the time in question (2100 UTC on 9/5/2026), do let me know... https://www.ncei.noaa.gov/maps/radar/Famartin (talk) 04:03, 7 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

Please do not move files that are in use without either leaving a redirect or changing the links on affected pages. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 23:27, 17 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

If it had been in use, it wouldn’t have let me rensne it without a redirect, so I can confidently say that it wasn’t in use at the time. Famartin (talk) 23:47, 17 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
It was in use, though, at en:Brock Creek (Buck Creek tributary), and still is. AFAIK there is no such restriction. There probably should be, though. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 00:06, 18 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
Are you a file mover? It’s a thing here and the tool involved has generally forces a redirect if it was in use. I suppose it may have malfunctioned for some reason, though I did just check and it enforced the restriction. Famartin (talk) 00:10, 18 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
I'm not, but I have seen similar problems before, so it does appear to malfunction on occasion. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 03:53, 18 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
