~ Tiffani Rose Cox ~
Name: Tiffani Rose Cox
School: Shepherd University
School Year: Sophomore
Location: Shepherdstown, West Virginia
Years Twirling: 16

Equipment Used:
one baton, two batons, three batons, hoop, flag, swords, ribbons, fire batons

Best Twirling Memory:
Winning the Gold Medal at the 2001 Junior Olympics for my solo one baton routine and recent accomplishments including a Junior Olympic Gold Medal for baton in the one baton division and a silver medal for twirl team with the Hollowell Twirlers Advanced Twirl Team and 2004 Miss Majorette of Virginia.

Most Embarrassing Moment:
I have several embarassing moments. The top ones I would have to say include dropping a fire baton during a half-time show and catching the grass on fire; stepping in horse doo-doo in a parade and last but surely not least, having the strap break on my uniform, sending it to my waist!!!!

Favorite Twirling Activity:
I feel like I have been very blessed with a healthy body and have been given a gift in twirling. It has been most rewarding to me when I can give back to others. My most rewarding experiences come from entertaining the elderly at nursing homes, speaking to my church about the need to keep trying even when you fail the first 50 times, and having little girls tell their moms that they want to be just like me.

Future Plans:
This is my second year as the feature twirler for Sheperd University. i would eventually like to open up my own dance studio to include, of course, baton twirling and cheerleading techniques.
